The 5050 introduces several technical innovations that define its "fast" and transparent sound signature.

• C³ Continuous Curved Cone™: This is the standout feature of the 5000 series. The mid/bass drivers use a single, smooth curve profile without a traditional dust cap. This combines the deep bass performance of a straight conic cone with the high-frequency control of a flared cone, allowing for a much smoother transition to the tweeter.
• Decoupled Tweeter: The 1-inch tweeter is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the main baffle. This "floating" design prevents the vibrations from the larger woofers from interfering with the delicate high frequencies.
• HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizers): Since tall cabinets are prone to internal standing waves, the 5050 uses internal tubes to equalize pressure and reduce resonance, leading to a cleaner, uncolored bass.
• P2P™ (Point to Point) Bracing: Internal bracing is strategically placed to stiffen the cabinet only where necessary, which keeps the stereo imaging sharp and focused.
