Designed for high-end analog purists, the Rega Planar 8 is a reference-grade, belt-drive turntable engineered to extract maximum detail from vinyl grooves by eliminating weight and suppressing unwanted vibrations.

  • Ultra-Lightweight Skeletal Plinth: Built from a Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core sandwiched between high-pressure laminate (HPL) layers, the plinth is exceptionally thin, rigid, and 30% lighter than its RP10 predecessor.

  • Ceramic Double Bracing: The first production Rega model to feature a ceramic top brace. This "stressed beam" locks the tonearm mounting and main hub bearing into a perfectly fixed, resonance-free alignment.

  • Precision RB3000 Tonearm: A showcase of precision engineering featuring zero-tolerance bearings calibrated to within 1/1000th of a millimeter. It avoids adhesives entirely, using ultra-precise mechanical joints for optimal structural rigidity.

  • Diamond-Cut Ceramic Oxide Platter: Custom-machined for absolute flatness, this platter concentrates mass at its outer rim to create a powerful flywheel effect that ensures precise speed consistency.

  • Factory-Matched P10 Custom Power Supply: An isolated power unit using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to generate a near-perfect sine wave for the motor. Every unit is individually tuned at the factory to its paired motor to eliminate micro-vibrations.
