Cambridge CXA81 MKII (DEMO)
- Estimated delivery: Oct 28 - Nov 01
The Cambridge Audio CXA81 Mk II is a high-performance stereo integrated amplifier designed as a central hub for two-channel audio systems. It retains the sleek design of the original, multi-award-winning CXA81 while focusing updates entirely on internal component upgrades and sound refinement.
What’s New in the MkII Update?
While the exterior looks identical to the original CXA81, Cambridge Audio focused entirely on fine-tuning the internal signal path and digital conversion engine:
Upgraded DAC Chipset: Swapped out the previous ESS Sabre ES9016 K2M for the higher-spec ESS Sabre ES9018K2M. This brings greater detail retrieval, lower distortion, and improved soundstage depth.
Re-engineered Signal Path: Features upgraded internal componentry throughout the circuit, re-tuned by London-based acoustic engineers to deliver extra clarity and fluid dynamics.
