Carbon 48 features high-purity Solid 5% Silver conductors and Level 3 Noise-Dissipation for the most efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise.

• 5% Silver-Plated Copper: The A/V and eARC conductors use solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) plated with a layer of silver that accounts for 5% of the total conductor cross-section. This improves high-frequency performance, as digital signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor.
• Solid Conductors: Using solid cores instead of stranded wire prevents "strand-interaction," which is a major source of electrical and magnetic distortion in cables.
• Carbon-Layer + Metal-Layer: A high-loss carbon layer is sandwiched between layers of metal. This prevents captured Radio-Frequency (RF) noise from modulating the equipment's ground reference.
• Directionality: All 19 conductors (including signal, power, and ground) are Direction-Controlled. They are tested to determine the direction of least impedance for RF noise, ensuring it is "drained" away from sensitive components.
