The ELAC Uni-Fi Reference UBR62 is a 3-way bookshelf speaker designed by renowned audio engineer Andrew Jones. positioned as a step up from ELAC's standard Uni-Fi 2.0 series, it pairs premium cabinet construction with refined driver mechanics.

Key Audio Features

  • True 3-Way Concentric Design: By mounting the 1-inch tweeter directly in the acoustic center of the 4-inch midrange driver, the UBR62 acts as a point source for mid and high frequencies. This eliminates phase arrival timing differences and produces sharp instrumental imaging and a layered, wide soundstage.

  • Flexible Placement: The front-firing slot port minimizes boomy wall interactions, allowing you to place these closer to back walls or inside shelves without ruining low-end clarity.

  • Resonance-Free Cabinet: Heavier internal bracing and full Perimeter Bracing drastically reduce cabinet coloration compared to entry-level lines.

  • High Power Requirements: With an 85 dB sensitivity rating, these are notoriously inefficient. They require a high-current, stable amplifier (ideally 70W–140W+ per channel into 4/6 Ohms) to wake up the dynamics and reach clean, full volumes.
