Rocket 44 incorporates Perfect-Surface Copper+ into its blend of conductors. PSC+ has fewer grain boundaries, which reduces harshness in the sound. This carefully finessed combination of PSC and PSC+ enables Rocket 44 to deliver a clear and faithful presentation.

Core Technologies

AudioQuest focuses on four main pillars to reduce distortion, which they call "The Four Elements":

• Solid PSC+ and PSC Copper: Unlike standard stranded cables that can cause "harshness" through strand interaction, the Rocket 44 uses Solid Conductors. It uses a blend of Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) and the higher-grade Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+). The "Plus" variant has an even smoother surface to minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries in the metal.

• Double Star-Quad Geometry: The internal conductors are arranged in a specific circular pattern. This relationship between conductors is designed to improve dynamic contrast and clarity compared to running wires in parallel.
• Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation: The negative conductors are wrapped in partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This "shields" the signal from radio-frequency (RF) interference, preventing your cables from acting like antennas that feed noise back into your amplifier.
• Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: Air is the best insulator because it absorbs almost no energy. These cables use nitrogen-injected foam to keep the conductors surrounded by as much air as possible, preventing the "out-of-focus" sound typical of lesser materials.
